ABOUT ME

I first stumbled into photography in 2002, when I bought my first point and shoot digital camera and immediately became fascinated with the potential of digital imaging. Over the years, I’ve picked up new skills and tricks from various photography books and magazines. What started off as a weekend hobby gradually grew into a passion, especially after I found my niche in travel and adventure photography. This love affair with the outdoors began back in 2005, when I decided to do the Overland Track in Tasmania on a whim. I was absolutely miserable on the first day of the trek, but stuck with it and eventually fell in love with the openness and beauty of the great outdoors.

The love of photography drives me to pursue adventures and the outdoors, and these in turn provide the inspiration for my images. My work is often of simple compositions that capture the spirit and mood of place, or of subjects that capture the spirit of adventure.

I started free-lancing after much encouragement from family and friends. To date, my work has been used by Hiking New Zealand and Macpac. In the past few years, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some of the most amazing locations on earth. My images are available as stock photography and fine art prints. I am now based in Melbourne, working as an architect. My current goal is to walk the Te Araroa track in New Zealand.
